Santo #4

I have talked about my love for comic books as a kid. Mostly Marvel, anything Jack Kirby. So here’s a superhero comic for you.

Back in 2007 I painted a whole series of Lucha Libre paintings, mostly featuring El Santo, the most famous of all the masked luchadores. Not only was he a folk hero and champion for justice for the common people, he also fought vampire women, zombies, headhunters, mummies, and more. That’s awesome.

Acrylic on canvas. Measures 16” x 20”.
